Is MCDFI a legally registered entity?

Yes. MCDFI is formally incorporated and registered as an association with the Investment Promotion Authority (IPA) of PNG. Our operations comply with all national regulatory requirements for non-profit organizations.

Who can become a member of MCDFI?
    • Neutralized Members: Anyone belonging to a sub-clan, clan, or tribe within the Manda area.
    • Financial Members: Working professionals (regardless of location) who make annual financial contributions.
    • Associates: Anyone connected to the Manda people through blood or marriage
I am an educated Manda person living in the city. How can I help?

As part of our "highly educated drifted population," your expertise is vital. You can join as a Financial Member, serve on one of our Sectoral Committees (such as Education or Infrastructure), or provide technical mentorship to local projects.

What are MCDF’s main development priorities?

Our focus is on the "Focus Development Priorities" outlined in our profile: Education (scholarships), Health & Sanitation, Basic Infrastructure (roads and bridges), Women & Youth Empowerment, and Agriculture.

How does MCDFI fund its activities?

We rely on a transparent mix of:

    • Grant funding from development partners and NGOs.
    • Government support.
    • Annual contributions from Financial Members.
    • Corporate partnerships and individual donations.
How do you ensure transparency with funds?

MCDF prioritizes accountability by maintaining a clear Reporting Structure and providing regular impact reports to donors, sponsors, and the community.

Can I download and share MCDF documents?

You may read our documents for informational purposes. However, you are strictly prohibited from copying, claiming copyright, or reproducing the MCDF Constitution, Profile, or IPA documents for your own use without written Board approval.

Who governs MCDFI?

The foundation is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of a Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary, Committees, and specialized Directors. They provide the strategic vision and ensure the organization remains compliant with its Constitution.

Who manages the daily operations?

Our Executive Director leads the organization, coordinating program implementation, building partnerships, and representing MCDF to stakeholders. The Executive Director reports directly to the Board of Directors.

How does MCDFI ensure transparent reporting?

We follow a strict Reporting Structure. Program Managers and department heads report to the Executive Director, who in turn provides comprehensive updates to the Board. This ensures that every Kina and every project is accounted for and that lessons learned are used to improve future initiatives.
